History of Cadiz
Named after Cadiz, Spain, Cadiz, Ohio was founded in 1803. Its location was to be at the precise junction of two main roads, one venturing from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and the other from Washington, Pennsylvania. Four churches and 21 stores took residency in Cadiz allowing the population to double in size from years 1840-1880
